First of all the partition must be marked as "active" (see VIK's post above). The process to get the image onto a *removable* *Flash* USB drive is fairly easy. * Is your XP image greater than 4GB in size? if so, you should have formatted the drive as NTFS, but it won't work on uEFI * Did you create the MDT offline boot image from the same deployment share as Windows 7 or another one? from the same computer or a different one? Hopefully you have the same version of the ADK/AIK on both shares. * First off, verify that the disk works, by loading Windows 7 boot image on it. There should be no difference between the boot methods used by a MDT boot disk with Windows 7 and a MDT boot disk with Windows XP, MDT does not use the boot files from Windows XP, instead it used the boot files from the WAIK and/or ADK.
